Honorary membership

GSSC has both Active and Honorary Memberships. The bylaws state that the Board of Trustees may grant Honorary Membership to members who:

• Have held Active Memberships for 15 continuous years and have no children under 18 years of age in the family household.
  OR
  
• Have held Active Memberships for 20 continuous years and have children in the family household.
  AND
  
• Have relinquished their Active Membership certificate to the Club.

No more than 50 of the club's 330 total memberships may be honorary. Honorary members enjoy the full rights and responsibilities of active members, but pay just one-fourth the annual dues. In relinquishing their membership, an honorary member receives no funds from its sale.
