Maintenance requirement

The GSSC bylaws require that each membership perform four hours of maintenance activity each year. We hold work parties in the Spring and Fall to help members satisfy this requirement. We announce these parties in the club newsletter and on this web site, and we hold them no matter what the weather is. You don't need to notify anyone you are coming, just show up. It's helpful to bring gardening tools and painting supplies.

Because of safety and liability, no children under 14 are allowed on the premises during work parties.

Spring 2008 work parties have been scheduled on:
    • Sunday, April 27, 9 am to 3 pm
    • Saturday, May 3, 9 am to 3 pm

Members may contact the club vice president to inquire about maintenance opportunites outside these work parties.

A $75 fee is assessed to memberships that don't fulfill this yearly requirement. Payment is due by September 30. You can elect to pay now if you know you won’t be doing any maintenance work anytime this year.

The club keeps a database of those members that can provide specialized help for the maintenance of the pool, buildings and grounds. Our goal to keep business within the membership whenever possible. We want to add the following skilled professional services to our database: Electricians, plumbers, ceramic tile specialists, carpenters, landscapers and small-motor mechanics. If we can add you to our list, please contact the club vice president.
